Idaho to Banff, Alberta

July 9th.  Time to leave Idaho.  It was great spending time with my brother, Jeff and family.

My good friend Richard has joined the trip and he is great to travel with.

Northward!  Next stop Jug Mountain Ranch

From there it was onward to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.  A good stopping point for the night.

The drive north continues.  The views just before Canada were beautiful!

Crossing the U.S. / Canada border in to British Columbia.

Alberta!

Arriving in Banff!

Day one of riding in Banff!

Day two a quick drive to Lake Louise.  We were planning to ride, but the trail head was full.  Plan B.  Back to Banff to ride!

Riding Topp Notch in Banff.

Day three we had to get some fly fishing in.  Boom Lake was highly recommended.  We caught a bunch of fish, although all little ones and the views were amazing.

After an amazing day hiking and fishing, the bikes were calling our names.  Our last day in Banff, we drove to Canmore and on the recommendation of a friend I met in Whistler, we rode Razors Edge.  And adventure was had for sure.

The trail in Banff ends here for us.  Next adventure, the Canadian plains.
